Life expectancies

Senior year is basically done, now what will you do?  Will you go to college, get a job, join the military, or follow your dreams? To most some do not have a clue on their career but they want to pursue something positive in their life. These will be the next generation of leaders, how will you determine your path in life.
Some of the students here have been accepted to college and hope to get the education they will need to further their career choice. Others live in the moment and see where it will take them. What we can recommend for those who don't have anything planned yet, go out and see the world outside of what you know. Never stop continuing you education regardless of the fact if its i school or you want to go out and learn new things.

Bestfriends Don't Last Forever

Its to the end of Senior Year were people change, attitudes get on people nerves and everyone turns against each other. Friendships only last when you make them last but in your senior year everyone often turns against each other because of rumors , lies and just fights. True colors come out. The person you thought you new the longest ends up becoming the one thats just memories and don't talk to anymore. Best Friends Last Forever , thats never true. There comes a point in your life when you realize who really matters, who never did, and who always did. Its a sad day when your best friend, all of a sudden just becomes one of your many memories and is no longer part of your present or future. In Your life you meet people, some you will never think of again. Some, you wonder what happened to them. Even some, you wonder if they ever think about you again. And there is some that you wish you never think of them again. You will always have People walking in and out of your life, but its part of life ones that stay forever and ones that don't. Life has its different ups and downs but you just make it worth it and live it out. Best friends come and go but the real ones always stay.

are you buying the yearbook?

now that the yearbook is done, we just need people to buy them. most seniors in Firebaugh are going to buy it, but we don't know about underclassmen. here are some interviews:

Question: Are you buying the yearbook? Why or why not?

  • Yes if it's cheap and since it's my first year here I want to make memories.
           -Edgar Avila Gd. 10

  • No because I'm not a senior and I hate this school.
          Edward Oliver Gd. 9

  • No because it's very expensive.
        Christopher Tofuga Gd. 10

  • No because in my opinion I would rather buy a skateboard.
        Sergio Bataz Gd. 9

  • No because I dont like yearbooks, they have bad memories.
        David Butron Grd. 9

As you can see underclassmen in this school have no spirit whatsoever c:

barcelona and real madrid loss and it ready all german final

barcelona and bayern finish there match which bayern won at barcelona home in spain. the match was on one  side and that team was barcelona but barce loss 3 to 0 because messi didn't play because he was injury the team needed messi to play because he is the team leader. they needed that player because they had to make five goal to win but the team barce felt that without messi they just gave up that why they loss 3 to 0 and they are out the champions cup final.
real madrid won 2-0 but didn't have enough heart to score early in the game they needed one goal more to advance to the final but they didn't because borussia dortmund had won 3-1 at they home in germany. NOW two german go to war to win the famous champions cup borussia vs bayern the final is going to take place in england and who is going win i think borussia going to win the cup.

Should Schools be allowed to have armed security?

"On Saturday may 5, 2013, we were alerted to a rumor of somebody possibly bringing a gun to school," said Gail Pinkser, William S. Hart Union High School District spokeswoman.West Ranch High School in the Stevenson Ranch area of Santa Clarita increased its security on campus Monday after the school received a threat. Two students at this high school got into a verbal fight in school and the story is that a student on twitter had posted about taking a gun to school. This is all still under investigation, many students of the school saw the post and reported it. The school was forced to increase its security due to this incident. Police officers came to the school the next day to enforce its security and make sure nothing went wrong. There has always been a huge argument about if schools should allow school administrators and security to carry fire arms for safety of the students. This incident will bring this argument back on the plate.

Stressing Out?

The state tests are on April 30th, and most people here are very stressed. if you just relax, study, and eat well, you might do well! here are some tips to help you out:

  • Don't be nervous!
  • Try listening to relaxing music when you are about to go to sleep.
  • Try eating small snacks like almonds, blueberries, and cornflakes.
  • Take a shower at night or the day before.
When your taking the test:

  • Get to know the test first.
  • Prepare overtime, spend about an hour and a half on studying equal amounts of the subjects.
  • Learn from your mistakes, be sure to study the parts you have the most difficulty with.
  • Eliminate the answers you know aren't correct.

Ultimate Frisbee

Ultimate Frisbee is a fast paced sport in which two teams compete for the control of a flying disc. It is a legitimate sport that is mostly seen within college athletics, as well as in a few high schools. There is no Ultimate Frisbee competition within Firebaugh, but there may be a few hidden players in the school. "Where?", you may ask. Surprisingly, there are a few passionate players within the teachers. Yes, TEACHERS! Mr.Kang (a physics/chemistry teacher) has been playing Ultimate Frisbee for years, and he's willing to play the sport with students who are interested. For those who aren't interested, he will stay persistent and will try to change their minds by teaching them a few tricks (I personally suck at throwing the Frisbee, but it's still fun to try).

Are any of these players pushing for a team? Not exactly, but if enough students would organize then maybe a team outside of school can be formed. Until then, this sport is purely for fun. For those of you who miss PE (but do not miss the mile) this can be a great opportunity. Mr.Kang is contemplating the idea of playing after school with students, and perhaps it will become a part of his weightlifting club (Yes, there is a weightlifting club. There will be more details later.). Until then this teacher is happy to accept any students interested in the sport.
The Frisbees will soar through the sky, and the wind will continue to chase after it. (A little poetry won't hurt anyone.)
