The Year Book Lite Coming Soon!
Attention Falcons, are you some of the many students at Firebaugh who wish to see Prom pictures in the yearbook? Well now you can, The Falcon Flame is glad to give all you students with a sneak peek at this years Yearbook Lite. With Yearbook Lite students will be able to see pictures not included in the yearbook. We had a chance to sit down with Rick Rodriguez (creator of Yearbook Lite) to have an exclusive interview that you will only be able to see here on the Falcon Flame.
What is Yearbook Lite?
It use to be something that was sold to students that didn't buy the yearbook but now its opened to all the students.
What will it contain?
It will contain pictures that were not included in the yearbook. It will contain pictures of friends doing everyday things and off course Prom, also star test week.
When will it be ready?
It will be ready hopefully by the time the yearbook comes out. We will try to keep the price low and try to incorporate it with the yearbook.
What kind of book will it be?
It will be a thin book, the inside will be more like a collage of pictures with our seniors. The goal is to have the most amount of pictures, with the least amount of space. The cover well be the sky with the first names of all the seniors, it well also have our grad year with balloons. We can guarantee it won't be more than 5 dollars.

Mr.Lima's First Born Child
Swag Master Mr. Lima has a new addition to his family, Eva Beverly Lima born April 15, 2012 is the first child of Class of 12's favorite teacher. The Falcon Flame had the pleasure to talk to Mr. Lima in his first ever interview as a father.
Being a first time father, how has this whole experience been for you?
"Her birth was the best day of my life. This whole event has been unbelievable. Her birth was the first time that I could actually believe there was a life in my wife's belly. I knew there was a life there, but I didn't believe it until she was born."
How has being a teacher prepared you for fatherhood?
"I think she was around three or four days old when I read her her first story. I think its important to read to a child because that way they can grow with an education. It is really important as a parent to understand the importance of play because, play is learning and learning is play"
Has your job prepared you for fatherhood?
"Definitely, when you treat a kid with respect they will in turn respect you. Kids have a certain sensitivity to fairness so its good to treat them fairly. I have learned that it is important to teach kids independence because when a student finishes a project all on their own it's a sense of pride and accomplishment, it is something that I will teach my daughter because I think it will help her be more self sufficient."
Will your child have as much "swag" as you have come to achieve?
"She is half of me so she'll immediately have half my swag, and hopefully for Eva my wife's genes will not counteract my swag, and I say my wife's genes, j-e-a-n-s. I'm not too worried though; you can teach swag to a certain extent. Not Swag Master status, but to a certain extent. Besides, kids learn through observation, so she will learn by watching me.

Boys Volleyball Team Winning Streak!
Our Boys Volleyball team has thundered their way into a 13-0 winning streak. The season so far has demonstrated the teams camaraderie on the court. The Falcon Flame had a chance to sit down with two of the team members (Giovanni and Ivan) for an exclusive interview. When asked about their winning streak first time Captain Giovanni had this to say, "I'm really proud of how far our team has made it. I feel as if now we are not a team anymore, but we are more like brothers." The teams brotherly bond has certainly proven to be a recipe for success during the past few games, as this is the first time that the Boys Volleyball has had an undefeated streak. However there is much more to victory than the bond that these boys share, as we all know practice makes perfect, and these boys have certainly learned this phrase well. A great practice schedule that is rigorous and effective has built these boys into the volleyball machines we see play every home game.
Firebaugh High School is proud of our Boys Volleyball team; even though its very difficult for them to keep up with school work, they make the effort to achieve academically and athletically. This extraordinary students have the gift to play and always give there best. The Boys Volleyball team this year are undefeated and stronger than ever we are all proud of them.We know that Our Boys this year are truly inspiring under classmates to participate in sports. With the support of FHS our Boys Volleyball team is going to keep achieving higher goals as they have done till this day.
